GENESEE COUNTY/Batavia/Man indicted in Jackson street stabbing, accused of attempted murder – Video News Service


A Genesee County Grand Jury has indicted Tyshon L. Taylor, 25, accusing him of the crime of attempted murder second degree, a class B violent felony, after allegedly stabbing the victim in the abdomen when encountering the victim walking down Jackson street on October 18, 2022 about 9:30p.m.

In count 2, Taylor is accused of assault first degree, a class B violent felony during the same incident.

In count 3, he is further accused of criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree, a class D felony, after knowingly possessing a deadly weapon or dangerous instrument, a knife, with intent to use it unlawfully against another person.

The victim was transported to ECMC, where they were treated for their injuries and hospitalized. The victim did survive the attack.

District Attorney Kevin T. Finnell accuses Taylor of having been previously convicted of the crime of attempted robbery second degree, a class D felony, on or about September 24, 2015, in Genesee County, which forms the basis for count 3 in the current indictment.

Taylor has been jailed without bail since his arrest on November 3, 2022.
