H.S. BASKETBALL: Batavia falls to Pittsford Sutherland in thriller | Sports

BATAVIA — Close, but no cigar for the Batavia boys’ basketball team on Tuesday night, as the Blue Devils fell to longtime rival, Pittsford Sutherland, 60-58, in a thriller at Batavia High School.

Trailing by seven entering the fourth quarter, the Blue Devils blitzed the Knights, forging a 7-0 run as Carter McFollins-Cramer and Mikey McKenzie each knocked down 3-pointers, then McFollins added a rebound, putback to provide Batavia with a 54-53 advantage with 6:15 to play. The quick Blue Devils’ spurt was answered immediately by Sutherland, which went on a 5-0 run of its own to regain a 58-54 advantage with 4:30 to play.
