MEDINA — Orleans/Niagara BOCES is closed on Friday. Director of Facilities/Director of Safety Daniel Connolly said this morning.
BATAVIA — The Batavia City School District will have a required “Emergency Go Home Drill” for all district students. The drill is for its school buildings only, not for students in placements outside the district.
“The drill is designed to test our response system in the event of an actual emergency,” the district said.
Student dismissal will be 15 minutes earlier than usual. Batavia High School is scheduled to dismiss at 2:28 p.m., the Middle School at 2:30, John Kennedy Intermediate at 2:35, Jackson Primary at 2:15, Robert Morris at 2:30.
For students who ride the bus, the bus company will be picking up students at these earlier times. All other student activities and practices are not affected, and they will proceed at their scheduled times.
